MIT Envisioning Peace
The original intention of the site was to document the MIT 2007 Just Jerusalem Competition. It grew into a content rich site that provides resources, data, community information, and discussion on conflict cities across the globe.
Some of the features of the site include an experts’ forum and discussion area, a map of registered participants in the community, voting and rating of competition entries, and a slide show of winning entries from the inaugural competition. Drupal modules and customization enabled us to create this valuable social and research tool in a short time, and allows for future features, such as localization, to bridge the digital divide.
