Website / Branding
Produced by MIT Reference Publications, MIT Facts provides an overview of the breadth of the Institute’s academics, activities, and culture. In this online version of the popular MIT Facts publication, information is updated annually or, as in the case of awards and honors, as changes become known.
The website features clean typography, vibrant colors and hand-drawn icons by our own Kyle Nelson. Since prospective undergraduate and graduate students are some of Facts’ most frequent visitors, the home page features not just a tool to allow people to quickly display only the facts relevant to them, but also a “surprise me” button that loads little-known, light-hearted facts about MIT. The colored blocks on the home page also serve as an internal promotion system, breaking up text pages to both provide additional information and drive people to related content.
