Account / New Business Manager

Stoltze Design seeks a strategic Account / New Business Manager to play an important role in business development, building and maintaining client relationships, and managing both digital and print engagements. 

Stoltze Design is an award-winning branding and design agency serving a wide range of educational, nonprofit, and corporate clients. Based in Boston’s historic Fort Point, our 12-person studio has a range of capabilities, including brand strategy and identity, web design, print and digital communications, publication design, and environmental and exhibition graphics.

As a key representative of Stoltze Design, you will interact with internal and external stakeholders, juggling the demands of both. You will also play a lead role in responding to RFPs, proposal writing, and client pitches. Excellent communication and presentation skills, a positive outlook, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and roll with last minute curveballs are required.

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Effectively manage digital and print projects, including large scale websites and print campaigns

• Communicate with client contacts regularly on strategy, deliverables, schedule, and budget

• Familiarity with the integration of design and web development, translating client requests into visual design and programming requirements

• Support business development initiatives including proposal creation, pricing, and presentations

• Write strong, compelling creative briefs

• Establish and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

 

We are looking for someone with 4-6 years of agency experience who can take ownership of multiple client accounts for both digital and print engagements. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Strong writing and editing abilities

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful

• Collaborative, tactful, and gracious under pressure

• Proven work experience as a strategic account manager

• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills

• Effective interpersonal, negotiating, and problem solving ability

• Demonstrated experience with running projects smoothly and efficiently

 

The position also requires the following technical skills:

• Mac platform, including Keynote

• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)

• Web-based project management and meeting platforms, such as Basecamp and GoToMeeting

• Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)

• WordPress and Drupal content population

• Traditional print production knowledge/skills are a plus

Digital and Print Project Manager

Stoltze Design seeks a bright, motivated, and detail-oriented Project Manager for digital and print design projects. This is an exciting and demanding role with an award-winning design firm that requires wearing many hats.

Stoltze Design is an award-winning branding and design agency serving a wide range of educational, nonprofit, and corporate clients. Based in Boston’s historic Fort Point, our 12-person studio has a range of capabilities, including brand strategy and identity, web design, print and digital communications, publication design, and environmental and exhibition graphics.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience with branding, publication and web projects, from long multipage InDesign documents (e.g., master pages, style sheets) and a grasp of image and print prepress, to experience with managing website design and development projects. Must be organized, diplomatic, able to work both collaboratively and independently, and able to juggle multiple projects at once. We seek someone with a friendly attitude who can remain calm and efficient in the face of tight deadlines, last-minute changes, and other curve balls.

Candidates should possess a BA degree, a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant professional experience, strong communication, writing and editing skills, and demonstrated success with project management.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following technical skills:

• Mac platform

• Writing and editing skills

• Web-based communications and project management platforms, such as Basecamp, GoToMeeting, Join.Me, etc.

• Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
