Wentworth Institute of Technology
Branding / Identity / Print / Experiential / Digital
Wentworth Institute of Technology is a leading engineering school in the heart of Boston. At Wentworth, students learn the process of making—working in state of the art labs and studios—and put their ideas to the test with leading industry professionals through the unique co-op program.
Our work with Wentworth began in 2014 when we partnered with Libretto to clarify the school’s branding and position as a leader in the innovation economy. Updates to the visual identity were followed by an expanded messaging system identifying the “Five Factors of Career Success,” and a new institutional tagline “Innovation in the Making” reflecting their innovative approach to hands-on learning. The Five Factors W, initially created for the admissions materials, including print and digital viewbooks, search pieces, acceptance materials, and college brochures, is now used widely across the campus and has been adapted for other logos including the Wentworth Fund, the College of Professional and Continuing Education, and the Wentworth Alumni Association.

Following our work with Wentworth admissions, we were invited to produce a viewbook for the Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program. This overview of the program is bold and sleek—based on a pared-down version of the admissions brand guidelines. We have also worked with the President’s Office, Institutional Advancement, the Athletics Department, and the College of Engineering and Technology. This comprehensive program of collateral is reenergizing Wentworth’s institutional identity and enhancing audience engagement.
Stoltze also redesigned the Wentworth Athletics identity with new renditions of the leopard and updated type treatments.
