As the flagship publication of Cornell’s prestigious School of Hotel Administration, Hotelie is sent to alumni around the globe twice every year. We joined forces with the Office of Marketing and Communications to redesign the magazine from the ground up. Our task was to create a luxe, high-end atmosphere within the pages, evoking the properties owned and managed by the school’s graduates. To do so, we introduced a spot gold ink throughout, rich layered graphics, and an icon system for clear visual navigation. These elements provide a framework for Hotelie’s stunning photography, made more lovely by the use of stochastic printing. The final product is in turns elegant, playful, and stylish (and it always makes us want to book our next flight!).
