French Library

Identity / Branding / Print

The French Library in Boston is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide French language instruction and cultural programs to inspire a diverse community of children, teens, and adults to explore, understand, and embrace today’s interconnected world.

Their Back Bay townhouse recently underwent an extensive renovation and the time was right for a rebranding effort. In the fall of 2022, Stoltze Design was enlisted to redesign their identity system and communications. This endeavor included a new logotype and updated artwork of their Marlborough Street entryway, along with bespoke patterns, an extended color palette, and family of typefaces. Our design approach was intended to reflect the historical significance of the organization and their beautiful facilities, while projecting a friendly and welcoming environment.

Stoltze also produced an overview brochure that encapsulates their extensive offerings such as art exhibitions, wine tastings, dance nights, cooking classes, language lessons, concerts, film screenings, lectures, and fashion shows.
